About The New Book:
Today’s busy, noisy, and fast-paced world can be full of challenges that stress us out and bog us down, sometimes leading us down a path of despair, desolation, and depression. Become Great Through Love, Forgiveness & Happiness: Be Brave, Be Bold, This Is Your Moment is the perfect guide to discovering how to slow down, reset the mind, and achieve the love, innocence, peace of mind, and resilience we once enjoyed as children.
Drawing on her extensive experience as a contemplative nun, probation officer, and spiritual counselor, Elizabeth shares the monastic wisdom she gained over two decades in a convent. She reflects on the valuable lessons and experiences she’s gathered, emphasizing the significance of spiritual symbols such as veils, chalices, and the Holy Cross, as she illustrates how these tools can guide us in leading meaningful lives and provide insights on achieving the clarity and inner peace needed to fully embrace the magnificent life we are meant to live right now.

Within the pages of Become Great Through Love, Forgiveness, & Happiness: Be Brave, Be Bold, This is Your Moment, Elizabeth Upton offers a wonderful, honest, and inspirational book about love and innocence that helps readers achieve well-being and inner peace.
In it, with great candor, Elizabeth dismisses the idea that once we become adults, we lose our innocence or our ability to love in its purest form. At only sixteen, Elizabeth had left her sister, grandmother, and mother to serve God as a nun. Now she boldly shares with us all the monastic wisdom she has acquired over two decades in the convent, along with the valuable experiences and lessons she learned, and later on, from her fruitful work as a counselor. In this book, Elizabeth uses symbols to explain the importance of veils, swords, wise elders, healers, priests and priestesses, chalices, and the Holy Cross in our lives, helping us live a beautiful life by revealing new meanings for these tools that can get us there.
‘Become Great‘ is an empowering guide that encourages readers to develop a healthy mindset toward themselves and the world around them. It certainly has the potential to shift and change the way we look at life. I loved this book for its simplicity and powerful symbolism, especially the chapter “Veils of Limitation and Abundance and the Sword of Separation.”
I loved reading Elizabeth’s insight, advice, and down-to-earth approach to self-improvement. What stayed with me the most was the message that love and innocence are not just for the young, and I agree with that. This inspirational book is also an invitation to build a strong bridge that we can cross to learn from our elders, their life experiences, wisdom, and priceless common sense. I highly recommend it.

From the Author . . .
BECOME GREAT THROUGH LOVE FORGIVENESS, & HAPPINESS is a book I wrote many years ago, but one in which I can reflect the words and wisdom within. Over the years, this book has taken on a life of its own, beyond my thoughts, expressing its unique spirit.
When I was fifteen, my mother suffered a mental breakdown. As a result, our home was destroyed. It was my childhood home of love and play. My twin sister, grandmother, and our mother were taken to the police station, where the officers were planning to place us in different institutions. What saved us was that our mother’s employer took responsibility
for us, helping our mother to recover quickly.
Still, this terrifying experience affected me to the point I feared losing my mind. This fear turned into despair. I thought of ending my own life. My Catholic background saved me and motivated me to become a nun. At the age of sixteen, it became a way of saving myself. I learned about prayer, sacrifice, and compassion while working as a social worker nun.
After twenty years, I grew out of this religious life to begin a new life and marriage. Throughout this book, I have used the symbols veils, swords, kingdoms, wise elders, healers, priests, and priestesses, chalices, and the Holy Cross because they remain meaningful and ageless. Love, forgiveness, and the desire for happiness will always be our life challenges.
During your life journey, it is my sincere hope that you will discover that love is ultimately all that matters.
